Duke Blue Devils recovered from an ugly first half to beat the Maryland Terrapins 93-84 in the 2007-2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball at Comcast Center Sunday night.
NCAA oddsmakers gave Duke Blue Devils –5.5 against the home team Maryland Terrapins. Duke Blue Devils won the game and the spread with the help of Blue Devils senior DeMarcus Nelson, who scored 19 of his 27 points in the second half.

North Carolina State Wolfpack escapes with a thrilling victory 69-66 to beat the Florida State Seminoles in the 2007-2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball Saturday night at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
NCAA Men’s Basketball oddsmakers gave the Florida State Seminoles -8 pointspread but the outcome of the game was too bad for the home team as they both lose the odds and the game. Duke Blue Devils overcame the –8.5 point spread as they trounced Virginia Tech Hokies 81-64 at Cassell Coliseum in the 2007-2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball.
It was a great win for the Duke Blue Devils, who does not only won the game but also the spread. Duke Blue Devils stalwart Kyle Singler scored 10 of his 16 points during an 18-9 run in the second half.
“It was important to keep the crowd out of it,” Duke Blue Devils Kyle Singler said. “Whenever you’re playing away from home, it’s definitely hostile and a difficult environment.”
Duke Blue Devils Kyle Singler answered Virginia Tech Hokies A.D Vassallo’s 3-pointer with one of his own, then had three of the Blue Devils’ next four baskets as they built a 53-45 lead. “We knew that they were a 3-point shooting team, especially in transition,” Blue Devils guard DeMarcus Nelson said. “We felt they were going to take a lot of 3s, so our job was just to rebound those long misses when they did occur, and then push it, because we knew that their defensive balance was going to be bad [by] taking perimeter shots.”
