NBA Betting Line: San Antonio Spurs at Indiana Pacers +5.5
The San Antonio Spurs outwitted the Indiana Pacers in their game at the Conseco Fieldhouse, with a lopsided 116-89 victory. Throughout the first half, the NBA’s third-best scoring defense hardly resembled the defending champions. The Indiana Pacers started the game with more energy than the Spurs, shooting 78.9 percent in the early quarter and 67.6 percent in the first half. The Pacers were making sure shots, even hitting their first four 3-pointers and finishing the half 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Then the San Antonio Spurs got serious and improved their defensive play. The Spurs played their best in the second half, limiting the Indiana Pacers to 18% shooting. With Tim Duncan dominating play and with plenty of scorers to back him up, the San Antonio Spurs rallied and kept the Indiana Pacers struggling through out the second half. The Spurs took a big lead in the third quarter and the Indiana Pacers, still playing without injured forward Jermain O’Neal, couldn’t keep up with the torrid pace.

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008
NBA Betting Line: San Antonio Spurs at Indiana Pacers +3.5
The San Antonio Spurs (29-16 SU, 21-24 ATS) haven’t been performing as good as they should, considering that they are the 2007 NBA Champions who are on the run for a second consecutive NBA Championship. The Spurs have jsut been 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games, and a disappointing 2-8 ATS on their last 10 road games.
NBA Betting Preview: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz
Monday, January 28th, 2008
NBA Betting Line: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz -2
The Utah Jazz (26-18 SU, 22-22 ATS) have just come from a big away win against the Houston Rockets, and will now face the San Antonio Spurs (28-14 SU, 22-20 ATS) at home in the Energy Solutions Arena at Utah.
The Utah Jazz may have had an “easy” time against the Houston Rockets because of the absence of all-star center Yao Ming, who was injured. But give the Jazz some credit as players like Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer have been consistent. However, the Utah Jazz will be facing a very healthy San Antonio Spurs with the likes of all-star Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on fire.
NBA Betting Preview: Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008
Los Angeles Lakers +6.5 at San Antonio Spurs
The Los Angeles Lakers (27-12 SU, 22-16 ATS) may have a better record than the San Antonio Spurs (26-13 SU, 19-20 ATS), but NBA odds makers have still made the 2007 NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs listed as favorites to win the game SU. However, it might be difficult for the San Antonio Spurs to cover the -6.5 point spread, considering that the LA Lakers are on winning form.
The LA Lakers are 8-1 SU in their last 9 games, but they have been slipping against the spread, going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games. The good news, however, is that the LA Lakers have been remarkable on the road, going 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games on the road and going 5-0 SU on their last 5 road games.
The San Antonio Spurs have been solid playing at home, and are 21-4 in its last 25 games at home. However, the San Antonio Spurs have not been showing much consistency, going 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games.
