Betting on the 2009 MLB All-Star Game

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

The Midsummer Classic is here.

That’s right, the 2009 MLB All-Star Game is set this Tuesday as the players fans voted in to play will hope they can make an even bigger name for themselves and increase their dollars.

So who made the cut? Let’s start with the 2009 MLB National League All-Star starters. The NL team consists of catcher Yadier Molina of the St. Louis Cardinals, and top vote-getter Albert Pujols at first base.

Albert Pujols is well on his way to another amazing year, leading the majors with 31 homers and 82 RBIs. He collected 5,397,374 votes to finish with the second-highest total in Major League history, trailing only Ken Griffey Jr.’s six million votes in 1994. Pujols has made the NL team eight times in nine seasons and will be making his sixth start.

The rest of the National League all star infield consists of Phillies second baseman Chase Utley, Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez, and Mets third baseman David Wright. Manning the outfield would be Brewers Ryan Braun, Mets Carlos Beltran, and Phillie’s Raul Ibanez.

The injury-riddled Mets lead the NL with…

Steroids hit MLB again with A-Rod

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Yes, the very player the Yankees rely on these days got away with steroids use six years ago.

You just know that people are already anticipating for the coming 2009 MLB baseball season when they start talking about baseball as early as the conclusion of the football season.

And since talking about baseball is as synonymous as talking about anabolic steroids, it was no surprise that the early topics that come out every time baseball fans start talking about their favorite sport pertains to another dude who injected the prohibited drug on his ass.

Alex RodriguezThis time, we have Alex Rodriguez, the New York Yankees third baseman, a guy who once paraded around with Madonna and probably the only one who has a physique that yells ‘’steroids use.’’

Other than Barry Bonds of course.

Sources claim that Alex Rodriguez may have gotten away with the use of anabolic steroids. The New York Yankees star was tested positive for testosterone and Primobolan, an anabolic steroid, during the 2003 season when he won the AL home run title and the MVP award.

He was playing for the Texas Rangers then.

Fortunately for Alex Rodriguez, there were no penalties for a positive result then. When A-Rod was asked for comment about the rumors, he simply said, ‘’you’ll have to talk to the union.’’ When asked if he had an explanation for the positive test result, A-Rod simply answered, ‘’I’m not saying anything.’’

Hee hee…

Primobolan is an injected or orally administered drug that improves strength and maintains lean muscle with minimal bulk development…

Should we be proud of Barry Bonds’ 756 homeruns?

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

If you caught Barry Bonds’ record-breaking 756th home run, would you keep it or would you throw it away?
Some people are saying that if they catch Bonds’ 756th home run ball, they’d throw it back. They think that by throwing the 756 Bonds ball back, it’ll be in protest to everything MLB Baseball allowed Barry [...]

Joel Piniero is Red Sox’ new closer hope

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Where do MLB closers come from? Well, some are identified for the role early on and ascend to ninth-inning status right away. Billy Wagner and Huston Street fall into that category.
Many closers, however, are failed starters. Even the Yankees’ Mariano Rivera was once a starting pitcher, converted to relief because he had only one dominant [...]

MLB Betting Odds: Atlanta Braves poised to reclaim NL East crown

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

The Atlanta Braves come off their first year in the last fifteen that they didn’t win a division title, so they look to return to prior glory in 2007. It will be a challenge to take back the NL East crown, but if everything clicks with their young players, they have a shot at [...]
