Tulsa Golden Hurricanes NCAA FootballThe Ball State Cardinals were previously famous only for being the alma mater of David Letterman and nothing more. This season it drew considerable attention to itself as their football team the Ball State Cardinals drew viewers attention as they progressed to a 12-0 NCAA Football season. The undefeated dream ended in the MAC title game after a stunning 42-24 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bulls. Still, the loss does not diminish the season that the Ball State Cardinals have and nothing can take away the NCAA Football season that quarterback Nate Davis has had. The Ball State Cardinals quarterback threw for 3,442 yards and received some Heisman Trophy votes. The Ball State Cardinals are yet to bounce back from a loss this NCAA Football season but checking history, over the past few seasons, The Ball State Cardinals are 10-2 against any given spread. Tulsa Golden Hurricanes had a tremendously tricky time this year recuperating after a loss that ended the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes’ dream of a perfect season after an 8-0 start. After losing to the Arkansas Razorbacks as seven-point favourites, the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes are currently contemplating over that setback. The Ball State Cardinals are 0-6 in bowl games, if that is what the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes need to know. The Ball State Cardinals lost 52-30 to Rutgers Scarlet Knights in last season’s 2008 International Bowl despite getting three TD passes from Nate Davis.

A lot will be made out of the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes offense and compete with the Ball State Cardinals’ offense but the key to the game may rest on the ability of the Ball State Cardinals defense to continue press and not vanish into thin air. The Cardinals have allowed a considerable amount of yards per game 347.9 yard per game and is ranked 55th in the country but are only allowing only 18.6 points per game, 21st best in the NCAA. The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes are certainly one of the most entertaining teams to watch who often put up stats similar to video game outputs. The offense ranked No. 2 in total yards per game and points scored per game with 565 yards 6th and 47.4 points per game. The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes qualified for the Conference USA title game but were upset by the East Carolina Pirates who happen to be a 12.5 point underdog. The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes beat Bowling Green 63-7 in last season’s 2008 GMAC Bowl making it was the largest margin of victory in bowl history.
