LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers for MVP

LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers for MVPIf the NBA Regular Season MVP award it would most likely settle in the hands of LeBron James, not to take anything away from Kobe Bryant but the fact that LeBron James has no help what so ever on the Cleveland Cavaliers and yet they still have the second Best Record in the NBA Eastern Conference is just amazing.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are second only to the Defending NBA Champions the Boston Celtics, and with the amount of talent on the Boston Celtics compared to the Cleveland Cavaliers it is clear how much LeBron James contributes on both ends of the floor.

Many would also consider Dwyane Wade to be next or even slightly ahead of LeBron James. What we have to look at despite the Miami Heat being a bottom dweller team is that Dwyane Wade has the likes of Michael Beasley and Shawn Marion to help him at least get a winning record for the Miami Heat.

Sure Dwayne Wade has a remarkable stat sheet and he levels up with LeBron James, but the factor that makes everything lean towards LeBron James is that the Cleveland Cavaliers would be far less than the Oklahoma City Thunder without him.

Michael Jordan who critics mostly compare LeBron James and Kobe Bryant to was more of a runaway winner since his skills and talent were clearly ahead of time and that most of these players in the NBA have or still idolize him in so many ways. Sure Kobe Bryant scored more points in a single game than Michael Jordan or LeBron James is slowly shipping his way to overtake all the all time great in triple doubles completed but one thing is imminent to Michael Jordan, he scores and defends when his team needs it the most.

With that being said, Dwyane Wade surely does not have that trait this year. Kobe Bryant made his fair share of buzzer beaters, but he is yet to prove his worth in the NBA Playoffs. LeBron James so far has the same hunger in winning despite being called for travelling in some crunch time scenarios.

This year the Los Angeles Lakers are the favourites to win the NBA Championship. However give LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers a few more years to gain experience and have them at least get a high scoring role player like Amare Stoudemire and everything is set for yet another dynasty in the making. LeBron James is racking up the stat sheet with 28.5 points per game, 7.0 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per game. Those numbers alone would show how much a stellar season he has right now and what scares most of the other NBA teams is that there is still some room for improvement.
