Eagles – Redskins on Monday Night

Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 10:40 am

We have an NFC East rivalry game for you this Monday.

Because on Monday Night Football, we have two teams in the NFC East looking to bounce back from their disastrous outing the last time they were on the field.

It’s the Washington Redskins taking on the Philadelphia Eagles as they relive their storied rivalry in the NFC East.

As of this writing, the New York Giants lead the division, but after that it’s still everybody’s game and a win on Monday night will be big for both.clinton_portis

The Philadelphia Eagles were shocked last week when they could only manage to put up nine points in a stunning 13-9 loss to the struggling Oakland Raiders.

You just know they can’t wait to get back on a football field after that fiasco in Oakland, luckily, they have the Redskins who, just a few days ago, managed to humiliate themselves even further without being on the field.

You see, the Washington Redskins just stripped their own head coach Jim Zorn, of his play calling responsibilities.

That means, Zorn is till the team’s coach but he won’t be making any coaching.

Yes, that’s the kind of stupidity they have going on right now in the nation’s capital and this is the perfect opportunity the Eagles can capitalize on to get back in the NFC East.
