Which teams will play for a BCS bowl game?

We’ll know soon enough. But right now, we have games for you to bet on for Week 13 of the 2009 NCAA college football season.

First we have the Oklahoma State Cowboys looking for their fourth straight victory as they battle the Oklahoma Sooners. The 12th Cowboys are on a roll with three straight wins, getting a huge lift from quarterback Zac Robinson.

He set an Oklahoma State record last season by completing 65 percent of his passes and still has a shot at achieving that mark again, completing 158 of 249 passes for a .635 completion percentage in 2009. Also stepping up for the Cowboys is running back Keith Toston. Since taking over as Oklahoma State’s featured rusher, the guy has averaged 103.6 yards.

It was just the fifth victory in 17 meetings for Texas Tech against the Sooners, and the Red Raiders had never won by more than 10 points in the series.

The huge win was a stunning reversal from last season, when the Sooners crushed Texas Tech 65-21 to end the Red Raiders’ national championship hopes. Oklahoma hadn’t lost this badly since falling to Texas 45-12 in 2005.

Expect the Sooners to bounce back against the Cowboys.

The no.1 team in the nation Florida Gators will look to continue to play at a high level Saturday at home against the Florida State Seminoles. Florida already posted a significant accomplishment in becoming just the 13th team to make it through an SEC regular season undefeated following a 24-14 win over South Carolina.

Florida’s Joe Haden was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against South Carolina. Haden led the Gators with 11 tackles, including a sack. He also had an interception, a career-high two forced fumbles and a pass breakup.

Florida’s defense has come through big in the second half this season. The Gators have tallied 12 of their 17 interceptions and 20 of their 29 sacks in the second half. Florida also has held five of its 10 opponents to under 100 yards in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Florida State Seminoles became bowl eligible for the 28th consecutive year with a 29-26 win over Maryland last Saturday. Of course, a meeting with the Gators should bring them back to earth.

We also have the BYU Cougars, a team on a three-game winning streak, hosting the Utah Utes this weekend. Can they win their fourth straight?

The Utah Utes (9-2, 6-1 MWC) bounced back after losing 55-28 on the road to No.4 TCU a week before to earn their 17th consecutive home win, the third-longest in the nation behind Oklahoma (28) and Boise State (24).

Freshman Jordan Wynn completed 14 of 28 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown to help the Utes route San Diego State 38-7 Saturday. David Reed, who grabbed five receptions for 83 yards, became the sixth player in Utah history to compile more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

This should be one fantastic game and we’re picking BYU to win four sraight.

Last but certainly not the least, we have the LSU Tigers playing the Arkansas Razorbacks in the regular season finale. With the Tigers’ conference title hopes long gone, LSU now looks at its final as an opportunity to define its season. Such a finish likely would land the Tigers in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla., against an opponent from the Big Ten.

The Arkansas Razorbacks, on the other hand, head into its last regular season game leading the SEC in scoring (37.6 points per game), total offense (450.1 yards per game), passing (310.0 yards per game), touchdowns (45), passing touchdowns (25), pass efficiency (160.0) and red zone offense (97 percent).

The Razorbacks are tied for fourth nationally with 13 fumble recoveries after recovering just four all of last season. Arkansas has forced 10 fumbles this year, which already eclipses last year’s total of nine.

I’m not liking LSU’s chances.
