Alex Rodriguez will sit out 6 - 9 weeks with an injuryAlex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees undergoes hip surgery which would put him out for atleast 6 – 9 weeks in the opening of the Major League Baseball Regular Season.

Alex Rodriguez who is by far the highest paid professional Major League Baseball player would start the MLB Regular Season on the wrong foot and baseball fans hope that the sting of woes the Baseball star has been in would end.

In the past few months, Alex Rodriguez has admitted to the use of performance enhancing drugs that generated criticism in the ranks of Baseball fans. The 33 year old New York Yankee is yet to redeem his name in the hearts of millions of Baseball fans across America. The untimely surgery that was to repair a torn labrum in his right hip comes at an ever graver time for the 3 time American League MVP. Despite the optimism from his teammates, Alex Rodriguez is still a great part of another championship run the New York Yankees are trying to sum up for this year.

“I feel like this team is going to win if we pitch well, whether Alex is here or not, to tell you the truth,” Andy Pettitte said. “Everybody’s lineup is so good. It’s tough to pitch in this division. I think we’re going to win because, hopefully, we outpitch the other people.”

Alex Rodriguez has complained of pain and tightness in his right hip dating back to the 2007 – 2008 MLB Regular Season. After an off-season checking, Alex Rodriguez had doctors discover a cyst in his right hip after undergoing an MRI which was then sent to a Colorado specialist to evaluate the proper procedure.

As for the MLB Baseball betting community, as soon as the MLB Season starts it would be best not to keep our hopes too high on the New York Yankees. For safer baseball bets, keep it on the moneylines with the New York Yankees.
