Dwyane Wade sues wife for false accusations of sexually transmitted disease
Thursday, February 19th, 2009
Dwyane Wade suing his estranged wife and two of her lawyers, namely Michael Berger and Dorene Marcus, on accusations that the Miami Heat all star transferred a sexually transmitted disease through an extramarital affair. Dwyane Wade would be looking to sue the three and ask for $50,000 from each individual for damages. Siohvaughn Wade the soon to be ex-wife of the All Star shooting guard stated that Dwyane Wade has infected her with an unspecified disease. A few weeks later Siohvaughn Wade withdrew the statement from the court hearing the divorce case for unspecified reasons.
“It has been difficult to see false allegations, rumors and gossip repeatedly discussed in public about my personal life,” Dwyane Wade said “I had no other choice but to file this action in order to clear my name.”
Like any other man in this given situation Dwyane Wade was not satisfied and stated that her allegations caused “embarrassment” and “humiliation” along with damaging future earning potential for the 2006 NBA Finals MVP.
“Mr. Wade has been the victim of a reckless campaign by Siohvaughn Wade and her lawyers to publicly humiliate him and damage his reputation,” Joe Power the attorney of Dwyane Wade said “To clear the public record from these false and malicious allegations, we have filed a defamation suit in court … and will seek appropriate compensation for damages.”

Ken Griffey Jr. keeps his world on finishing his career in Seattle
Thursday, February 19th, 2009
Ken Griffey Jr. is heading back to the Seattle Mariners. The 39 year old Left Fielder is believed to have signed a contract with the Seattle Mariners for one year and is estimated to be worth $2 million in base salary, plus incentives.
“He’s coming home. … I can’t begin to tell you how ecstatic we are. He is, too,” Seattle mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik said “arguably one of the greatest athletes to ever play in the Seattle area. Ken is extremely excited to be coming back to Seattle,”
The Atlanta Braves was Ken Griffey Jr.’s first choice on however the same old reason why most professional athletes tend to move to Atlanta, with the city of Seattle they do not have the geographical convenience as the other cities with professional ball clubs. However Ken Griffey Jr. still has sentiments left for the Mariners franchise since this was where everything started with his career and Ken Griffey Jr. became an MLB all star with the Seattle Mariners. Ken Griffey Jr. was a former Seattle Mariners superstar that left the franchise in 2000.
“We were informed tonight that Ken Griffey Jr. has decided to return to Seattle,” The Atlanta Braves general manager Frank Wren said. “We will continue to be open to other possibilities to improve our outfield offense and, at the same time, give our young players an opportunity to show us they can win that job.”
The Atlanta Braves have a training camp that is a 20 minute drive from Ken Griffey Jr.’s home in Orlando, Florida and the Atlanta Braves Stadium is a one hour flight away.
Another clue in the whole confusion as to where Ken Griffey Jr. would be playing in the next MLB Regular season was the…
Brett Favre retires from the NFL again
Thursday, February 19th, 2009
Will this be the final one?
In what has now turned out to be an annual thing in the NFL, Brett Favre retires (again) at the end of the NFL season, this time without the big press conference and tears from a housewife who can’t get enough of soap operas.
In case you forgot, Brett Favre retired last year, in front of a slew of cameras with tears rolling down his cheeks. This was after he did the exact same thing the year before that, the year before that year and probably the year before that year too.
When he postponed retirement again to play for the New York Jets last season, a lot of people were surprised, not because he decided to postpone retirement one more time but because he’ll be playing for the Jets, NOT the Green Bay Packers.
I guess after all the retirement speeches Favre put us through the last few years, I’m no longer surprised to learn that he’s calling it quits again after only a year as the New York Jets quarterback. And yes, I still won’t be surprised if Favre decides to make yet another ‘’comeback’’ and play for the Jets next season, for some other team, or even Green Bay for that matter.
In any case, he’s making it clear that he’s retiring for good. Until he changes his mind again. He’s so sure this time that he even addressed the skepticism about his latest ‘’retirement.’’
‘’I have no reason to wonder why you would be so skeptical,’’ Brett Favre said. ‘’I have family and friends who are like, ‘All right, Brett. Is this the real deal?’ To me, it is. It is. Believe me. It’s been a wonderful career, I couldn’t ask for anything more.’’
‘’It was worth a shot for me to go to New York. I wish…”
LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers for MVP
Wednesday, February 18th, 2009
If the NBA Regular Season MVP award it would most likely settle in the hands of LeBron James, not to take anything away from Kobe Bryant but the fact that LeBron James has no help what so ever on the Cleveland Cavaliers and yet they still have the second Best Record in the NBA Eastern Conference is just amazing.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are second only to the Defending NBA Champions the Boston Celtics, and with the amount of talent on the Boston Celtics compared to the Cleveland Cavaliers it is clear how much LeBron James contributes on both ends of the floor.
Many would also consider Dwyane Wade to be next or even slightly ahead of LeBron James. What we have to look at despite the Miami Heat being a bottom dweller team is that Dwyane Wade has the likes of Michael Beasley and Shawn Marion to help him at least get a winning record for the Miami Heat.
Sure Dwayne Wade has a remarkable stat sheet and he levels up with LeBron James, but the factor that makes everything lean towards LeBron James is that the Cleveland Cavaliers would be far less than the Oklahoma City Thunder without him.
