The Virginia Tech Hokies beat Virginia Cavaliers 72-65 in another Atlantic Coast Conference game Saturday night Cassell Coliseum as part of the 2007-2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball season. The Virginia Tech Hokies stands at 14-8, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference. Virginia Cavaliers guard Sean Singletary scored 26 points to lead the Virginia Cavaliers. Virginia Cavaliers dropped to 11-9, 1-6 ACC, and Virginia Cavaliers lost for the seventh time in eight games and are off to their worst start in the Atlantic Coast Conference since the 2004-05 team lost seven of its first eight.

Virginia Tech Hokies Deron Washington scored 15 points despite 3-for-14 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Malcolm Delaney and Lewis Witcher had 10 for the Hokies.
Virginia Cavaliers tries to end their slump as they play Clemson Tigers on February 7 while Virginia Tech Hokies rides on their momentum as they battle North Carolina State on February 5.
