NCAA Betting Result: Clemson Tigers Run Down Boston College Eagles 78-56

The Clemson Tigers overcame the -10.5 point spread over the visiting Boston College Eagles, beating the hapless Boston College Eagles 78-56 in Atlantic Coast Conference action Saturday night.

Cliff Hammonds scored 14 points and led five Tigers in double figures. The Tigers are now 16-5, 4-3 Atlantic Coast Conference who never trailed and saw just one tie at 29 late in the first half. The Clemson Tigers als scored 30 points off 20 Boston College turnovers.
Clemson Tigers K.C. Rivers added 13 points, Clemson Tigers James Mays had 12, David Potter added 11 and Trevor Booker had 10 for Clemson Tigers. The Tigers broke the game open in the first eight and a half minutes of the second half with a 21-9 run, including 11 unanswered points, to take a 57-40 lead with 11:32 to play.
Boston College Eagles 12-8, 3-4 ACC were led by Tyrese Rice with 17 points and posted their second-lowest point total of the season. The lowest was 51 points in a loss to Robert Morris on Jan. 7. Led by Mays and Booker, who had seven rebounds apiece, the Clemson Tigers outrebounded the Boston College Eagles 31-24, including 21 offensive boards that led to 25 second-chance points.

Boston College Eagles will host Maryland Terrapins on Wednesday, February 6, while, Clemson Tigers go up against Virginia on Thursday, February 7.
