NBA Betting Results: Orlando Magic Book Easy Win Over Miami Heat 107-91
NBA Betting Line: Miami Heat at Orlando Magic -15
The Miami Heat just can’t win a game!
The Orlando Magic were favored to conquer the undermanned Miami Heat, and they did just that with a huge margin of 107-91 Wednesday night.
The Orlando Magic were led by the impressive double-double performance of Hedo Turkoglu with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Rashard Lewis scored 19 points and the Orlando Magic needed 12 consecutive points in the final quarter to pull away and beat their opponents.
Dwight Howard, center of Orlando Magic had a double-double performance with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Maurice Evans added 13 points for the Southeast Division-leading OrlandoMagic (29-18), who have won the last eight meetings between the Sunshine State rivals.
Ricky Davis scored 21 points, while Luke Jackson and Chris Quinn added 14 apiece for the Miami Heat, who played without Dwyane Wade (flu), Shaquille O’Neal (hip) and Udonis Haslem (ankle). Not surprisingly, given the lineup depletion, Miami trailed most of the way in what became its 17th loss in the past 18 games.
The victory by the Orlando magic is also a win against the spread, easily covering the -15 point spread given by NBA oddsmakers.
The Miami Heat made their record worse at 9-35 while the Orlando Magic improve to 29-18. The Miami Heat will host Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets on February 1. For their next games, the Orlando Magic will hit the road to face Samuel Dalembert and the Philadelphia 76ers on February 1 before going on the road to meet Danny Granger and the Indiana Pacers on February 2.
