The Golden State Warriors took their first lead, at 102-101, on Baron Davis‘ 3-pointer with 2:11 left in the game. However, the Houston Rockets remained in control and were able to hold off the Golden State charge.
The Houston Rockets(25-20 SU, 22-22-1 ATS) improve their NBA record to 25-20, while the Golden State Warriors(27-19 SU, 20-26 ATS) drop to 27-19. The victory by the Houston Rockets is also a win against the spread, easily covering the -2.5 point spread given by the NBA odds makers.
Yao Ming’s impressive double double, 36 points and 19 rebounds, led the Houston Rockets to beat the reeling Golden State Warriors. The Houston rockets’ guard Luther Head added 20 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists. Rafer Alston finished with 17 points and a season-high 12 assists.

With Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen out, it seemed like the Miami Heat rated a chance of matching its season-high two-game winning streak,but their loss sinks their NBA record to 9-34.
Boston Celtics power forward Leon Powe had a double-double and scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Rajon Rondo tied a career-high 23 points with 6 rebounds and 3 assists while Tony Allen matched a season-best with 20 points for the Celtics.
