Kobe Bryant had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists, but the 11 points rather disappointing for a key all-star like Bryant. Newcomer Pau Gasol scored 12 points for the Lakers.
The Atlanta Hawks victory is also a win against the spread. The defeated LA Lakers drop to a record of 31-17 while the Atlanta Hawks improve their record to 20-24 this 2007-08 NBA regular season.
Hoping for another improvement on their record, the Atlanta Hawks will host Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on February 8. The LA Lakers will be on the road to face Rashard Lewis and the Orlando Magic on February 8.
