NBA Betting Preview: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz
Monday, January 28th, 2008
NBA Betting Line: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz -2
The Utah Jazz (26-18 SU, 22-22 ATS) have just come from a big away win against the Houston Rockets, and will now face the San Antonio Spurs (28-14 SU, 22-20 ATS) at home in the Energy Solutions Arena at Utah.
The Utah Jazz may have had an “easy” time against the Houston Rockets because of the absence of all-star center Yao Ming, who was injured. But give the Jazz some credit as players like Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer have been consistent. However, the Utah Jazz will be facing a very healthy San Antonio Spurs with the likes of all-star Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili on fire.

NBA Betting line: Boston Celtics at Orlando Magic -2.5
Orlando Magic, the Southeast conference-leading team, defeated the NBA’s best Boston Celtics, 93-96 at the Orlando home court. The Orlando Magic recorded its second home win this season over the Boston Celtics which played for the first time without All-Star top vote-getter Kevin Garnett, who has an abdominal strain.
The Orlando Magic blew a 16-point, second-half lead with a lousy fourth quarter. The Celtics trailed 75-65 to open the period, then held Orlando scoreless nearly four minutes, and without a field goal for more than five. But the Celtics slipped into their own fourth-quarter drought over 2:47 and the Magic pulled ahead by eight on two buckets from forward Rashard Lewis, one a 3-pointer, and an authoritative dunk from center All-Star Dwight Howard. Despite the 3 points from Ray Allen, which gave the Boston Celtics a tie at 93 with 14 seconds left, the Orlando Magic rallied with Hedo Turkoglu sinking the winning three-pointer at the buzzer.
