Super Bowl XLI Champions Indianapolis Colts Thrash New Orleans Saints 41-10
The Indianapolis Colts look to be in top form in their campaign for a back-to-back Super Bowl title with an impressive win over the New Orleans Saints in the first week of the 2007 NFL regular season.
Indianapolis Colts’ QB Peyton Manning threw 3 touchdowns and passed for 288 yards to have the Colts cruise to a 41-10 victory over the New Orleans Saints at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. Supporting the Colts’ offense was running back Joseph Addai who rushed for 118 yards and added a touchdown as well as wide receiver Reggie Wayne who caught 2 TDs from Peyton Manning.
The Colts were the first on the scoreboard with Peyon Manning gunning a 27 yard pass to Marvin Harrison for a first quarter TD. The Saints managed to tie the game when defensive back Jason David picked up a fumble and ran it 55 yards for a touchdown. The Saints then went ahead with a field goal, but the Colts managed a field goal of their own in the last minute of the second quarter to tie the game at 10-10 at the end of the first half. 
However, at the 2nd half, it was all Indianapolis. Colts running back Joseph Addai capped a 71-yard drive with a 2-yard rush touchdown. In their next drive, the Indianapolis Colts only needed 4 plays to move 69 yeards up the field, capping it off with a 28-yard reception by wide receiver Reggie Wayne from quarterback Peyton Manning. Reggie Wayne added another TD in the 4th quarter after receiving a 45-yard pass from Peyton Manning. Even the defense got a touchdown when defensive back Matt Giordano intercepted a pass from Saints QB Drew Brees and returned it for 83 yards into the end zone.
The Indianapolis Colts hope to continue their win streak when they visit the Tennessee Titans for the second week of the 2007 NFL Regular Season. The Tennessee Titans are also looking for another win after they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 13-10.
Meanwhile, The Saints are looking for their first win when they visit the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Tampa Bay Bucs are also gunning for their first win after losing to the Seattle Seahawaks 20-6.
