Ohio State Buckeyes favored to win March Madness South Region

Thursday, March 15th, 2007 at 7:17 pm

When you throw the No. 1-ranked school in the country—a program that prides itself on defense—into the same March Madness bracket with seven of the nation’s top scoring schools, you’re looking for an upset.

The Buckeyes fringe on scoring impaired at times and that may haunt them when they face some of the lights-out shooters the committee has lumped into this region. If OSU has to match jumpers with Chris Lofton, Keena Young or Aaron Nixon when they get hot, the highly touted Buckeyes may be hard pressed to beat the heat.
