jay-cutler.jpgNFL oddsmakers are giving this game Denver Broncos @ Chicago Bears -1.5. The Denver Broncos led by quarterback Jay Cutler will visit the disarrayed Chicago Bears in Soldier Field in week 12 of the 2007-08 NFL Regular Season.

Denver Broncos (5-5) opened 2007-08 NFL Regular Season with consecutive wins, but then suffered consecutive losses to San Diego Chargers 41-3 and Detroit Lions 44-7.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall said, “It’s always been our division. It’s time for us to take it back. San Diego, Kansas City, they don’t have the talent like us in the locker room.”

Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler threw touchdown passes of 41 and 48 yards, finishing 16-for-21 for 200 yards and a career-high passer rating of 137.0. Denver Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker might play this game against the Chicago Bears. Denver’s wide receiver Walker missed the last eight games due to an injured right knee.

The Chicago Bears (4-6) have a slim chance of returning to the playoffs with their defense in disorder. The Chicago Bears gave up 425 yards in last Sunday’s loss at Seattle 30-23.

Chicago Bears was carried by its defense during last season’s Super Bowl run, but the Bears have been terrible in 2007-2008 NFL Regular Season.

Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman said, “Time is running out, we can keep talking about making a run, making a run, but time is running out. Time’s almost out right now.”

He may be right they are running out with their poor defense but the Chicago Bears are showing good signs in offense. The Chicago Bears are 25th in the league in offense (300.7) and 29th in rushing offense (81.6), but gained 345 yards and matched a season high with 107 on the ground against the Seattle Seahawks.

Denver Broncos has not visited Chicago Bears since a 13-3 victory on Dec. 18, 1993. Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears have played twice since then, with Chicago Bears winning 19-10 in the last meeting on Nov. 23, 2003.

This will be an exciting game to watch with two teams trying to climb to the team standings. Sportsbettingindex.net’s NFL betting tip is that the Denver Broncos are a good bet against the Chicago Bears.
