Kentucky Derby Odds go beyond horses, jockeys and post positions
When it comes to the Kentucky Derby, it’s no surprise that most of the gambling surrounds horse racing betting.
At the moment in the Bodog Sportsbook, Curlin (9/5) is getting the shortest odds to win the 2007 Kentucky Derby. Street Sense (9/2) is next in line with Nobiz Like Shobiz (8/1) also getting a fair bit of betting action. The Kentucky Derby longshot? That would be Imawildandcrazyguy at 75/1.
But the horse racing odds are just the beginning of betting on the Kentucky Derby. As most already know, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will attend Saturday’s race at Churchill Downs, and the visit has prompted a number of fun Derby props.
Think the Queen will wear a pink hat? If you’re right, oddsmakers will pay you out at 8/1. The favorite color is a tie between blue and white/silver at 5/2.
Will the Queen’s hat be decorated with a feather? Oddsmakers think it will. “Yes” is at -300.
Bettors can also wager on the attendance at Churchill Downs. Will it exceed the 157,536 of 2006? “Yes” is paying out at -200.
Check out all the horse racing odds, plus a few that have nothing to do with horses, jockeys or post positions!
