Gators make statement with 3rd straight SEC title vs Arkansas

In a powerful team effort by the Florida Gators, they claimed their third straight SEC tournament championship by beating Arkansas 77-56 on Sunday.

Florida swept the SEC Tournament with the most dominating three-game performance the tournament has ever seen.

The Gators ripped through their Joakim Noah will be an integral part of Florida Gators 2007 NCAA run. opponents with an average winning margin of 19.7 points. Arkansas was able to stay close for a while, but still never really had a chance.

The No. 6 Gators finished off three routs in three days and with their championship win, they may lock up a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

Tournament MVP Al Horford scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Noah Joakim had 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Taurean Green and Lee Humphrey each made a couple of 3-pointers, and Corey Brewer chipped in with 9 points, five rebounds and three assists. Richard and Walter Hodge combined for 17 points off the bench.
