2007 Augusta Masters Field announced, Tiger Woods still the bookies favorite

107 players were invited to partake in the 2007 Masters golf tournament April 5-8 at Augusta National in Georgia, although only 97 are expected to tee off. Past champions Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo, Tommy Aaron, Gay Brewer, Jack Burke, Billy Casper, Charles Coody, Doug Ford and Bob Goalby will all take a pass.Tiger Woods narrowly missed out of winning the inaugural HSBC Champions event last season

Tiger Woods, fresh off his victory at Doral, headlines the event and is a 3/2 favorite to win the same tournament he won in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.

Defending champion Phil Mickelson is getting 8/1 odds to win the Masters, while Ernie Els (11/1), Vijay Singh (16/1), Jim Furyk (20/1), and Retief Goosen (25/1) round out the favorites.

The Masters field will include 18 first-time participants and five amateurs — Richie Ramsay (U.S. Amateur champ), John Kelly (U.S. Amateur runner-up), Julien Guerrier (British Amateur champ), David Womack (U.S. Mid-Amateur champ) and Casey Watabu (U.S. Amateur Public Links champ).

The other first-timers are Bradley Dredge, Johan Edfors, Kenneth Ferrie, J.J. Henry, Robert Karlsson, Troy Matteson, Brett Quigley, Jeev Milkha Singh, Hideto Tanihara, Camilo Villegas, Brett Wetterich, Dean Wilson, and Y. E. Yang.
