Got a headache by simply looking at different NFL playoff scenarios heading into week 17 in the NFL? Well, we have done the homework for you. There are just three playoff spots open in the NFL heading into the final weekend of the season. Thus, with the last week anything but intense in most games, much of the attention will be on who won’t make the playoffs.

Here’s the latest NFL playoff picture:

NFC

- The Chicago Bears (North) and Seattle Seahawks (West) have clinched division titles and first-round byes, with Seattle having home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

- The New York Giants have clinched a postseason berth, and can go to the playoffs as East Division champions with a victory Saturday at Oakland Raiders. The Washington Redskins can clinch a berth with a victory at Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and would advance as East Division champion if New York loses.

- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can clinch the South Division with a victory Sunday over the New Orleans Saints. The Carolina Panthers can advance to the playoffs if it wins Sunday at Atlanta Falcons, as a wild-card team, or - if Tampa Bay loses - as South Division champion.

- The Dallas Cowboys need a victory Sunday over the St. Louis Rams and a loss by Carolina or Washington to qualify.

AFC

- The Cincinnati Bengals (North), Indianapolis Colts (South), New England Patriots (East) and Denver Broncos (West) have clinched division titles, with Indianapolis having home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and Denver getting the other first-round bye.

- The Jacksonville Jaguars have clinched a wild-card berth.

- The Pittsburgh Steelers can clinch a wild-card berth with a victory Sunday over the Detroit Lions or a San Diego Chargers victory over Denver on Saturday. The Kansas City Chiefs need a victory Sunday over Cincinnati, a San Diego loss and a Pittsburgh loss to qualify.

Odds to win 2006 Super Bowl:

Indianapolis Colts 10/11

Seattle Seahawks 6/1

Denver Broncos 9/1

Carolina Panthers 30/1

New England Patriots 6/1

Prediction: Nobody wants to face New England in the playoffs. The Patriots are now the hottest team in the NFL. With the playoff experience of Tom Brady, Corey Dillon and Ted Bruschi plus the current emotional dilemma of the Colts, the Patriots are now the team to beat in the playoffs.
