Bobcats Will Scamper as Mike Bibby and the Kings set Hostile Welcome

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005 at 12:08 pm

Finally, the Mike Bibby we knew has resurfaced. After somewhat a slow start in this NBA Season, Mike Bibby and his shooting touch is back. The Kings’ last game against the Nets was no different.

Mike Bibby led the Kings to a 114-105 win with his 25 points. It looks as if the Sacramento Kings are not missing Chris Webber at all. New acquisition Bonzi Wells chimed in with 23 points and Brad Miller dropped 20 points and 10 assists.

On Tuesday, the Kings will be hosting the Charlotte Bobcats, a team who just got Gerald Wallace back from the concussion.

However, when the Bobcats take the court to play the Kings, Gerald Wallace may just have another concussion as Bibby and the rest of the Kings run circles on the Charlotte defense. This will also mark Wallace’s return to Sacramento this year after donning the orange Bobcats jersey in place for his Kings uniform.

Speaking of donning new uniforms, new acquisitions Bonzi Wells and Shareef Abdur-Rahim, is slowly forming the Kings franchise into a title contender once again.

Bonzi Wells is one of those underrated players in the NBA. He can shoot the basketball and slash through the basket at will. It was when he was playing for Portland when Bonzi Wells became the player he is today. Now with the Kings, he may just turn this team back to the championship picture.

Also, there’s Shareef Abdur-Rahim, a player who had his game dwindle down with every trade transaction he became a part of since he left Vancouver. Shareef Abdur-Rahim was one of the NBA’s premiere spectacles when the then Vancouver Grizzlies was playing in the NBA as an expansion team.

Then Abdur-Rahim was traded to Atlanta and then Portland, where his game dramatically dropped. Especially in his tenure with Portland, where he was relegated as a bench warmer.

Now with the Kings, this could be his last chance to rekindle that superstar in him. The Sacramento Kings will surely benefit from it in these NBA wars.
