Bengals, Palmer wants Big Ben’s head in NFL Week 13
After a pulsating win against the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals will have their second acid test this season as they try to firm their grasp on the AFC North lead when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
Starting quarterback Carson Palmer is raring to go head-to-head with Steelers Ben Roethlisberger and prove to the rest of his critics that his current amazing season is no fluke. Mentally at the top of his game now, he is an excellent reader who has begun to lead his team in a Colt-like no-huddle scheme. Like Peyton Manning, Palmer is a good-sized passer who performs with little wasted motion.
After seeing Roethlisberger succumb to the might of Manning and the Colts, Palmer will surely go for the jugular to ensure that the Bengals will inch their way to a playoff berth after long years of obscurity. Knowing that a Pittsburgh victory would give them a daunting two-game lead and one foot towards the NFC North Crown, Palmer is well aware that this is the biggest game for the Bengals in 15 years.

Palmer has not a lot to cheer about his past performances against the Steelers. In three career games against the Steelers, Palmer is 54-of-98 for 556 yards with three touchdowns, five interceptions and a passer rating of 60.6. He has not defeated Big Ben and the Steelers won those three contests.
Palmer will surely come with his guns blazing and not collapse this time around. Though he’s aware that the Steelers demolished him 27-13 last October at Cincy’s Paul Brown Stadium, the former Trojan quarterback has revenge on his mind and wants no less than Roethlisberger’s head next week.
Palmer has been Manning-like these past few weeks. The challenge now is to is how to orchestrate plays where the expected mammoth crowd will make it hard to hear calls at the line of the scrimmage. But Palmer is undaunted. He’s now ready for his next challenge.
